Our history & heritage
Oakdene originated as a French Polishing company with Dan Higgs our MD a third generation French Polisher. Dan served his apprenticeship under his father Alan, working at Buckingham Palace as the French Polisher to the royal household. We’re still proud to provide those same traditional French polishing methods in todays work.
Our Contracts Director Dan Sankey joined us as Oakdene’s first decorator. Son of Colin Sankey, a decorator for over 50 years, Dan has years of technical and hands on experience and this shows in his leadership of our teams and projects.
